Tuition for new students reflects a special increase approved by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors. All tuition revenue generated through the special increase will be allocated to the program to improve student services, enhance orientation and special programs, and lay the foundation for future growth in the program.

UNC Charlotte is a publicly supported institution. Tuition payments and other required student fees meet only a part of the total cost of the education of students enrolled. On the average, for each full-time student enrolled in an institution of the University of North Carolina, the State of North Carolina appropriated $12,868 per year in public funds to support the educational programs offered.
